unbroken wrist rally strap

My stitchless 4mm thick, 120/80 rally strap









From an old leather belt; 4mm thick, 38mm wide and 42" long.



buckle and keeper removed..





cut 3 lengths out.. (for long end of the strap, short end and a keeper)





trimmed to working length and width..





used a teaspoon as template to shape the tail; super skiver to shave the other ends and thin the keeper..





fold, glue and punch. (12mm, 10mm and 8mm hollow punches are from a hardware store, actually meant for sheet metalwork :lol: )





see no stitching is involed, thus unbroken wrist :lol: :lol: :lol:



suit up..

Can give more detail on how to do The springbar area? How u create the hollow to slot the springbar?

sellwatch : i apprentice how to take apprentice :lol: . I've learnt alot fr u guys and the tube. I followed the 6 parts video here



roo: I got a 24mm buckle from ah goh but this strap is too thick for it, so bo pian got to remove one of my 24mm buckle from its strap and stick it here to test out the strap.



vinc: shave the area down 'enough' (ie I try and error one, shave,fold , check then repeat :lol: ), then apply glue to the shaved area except where the spring bar will go, and fold the shave area over itself and press the glue areas together.



Once again, thank you guys. Will let you guys know if and when the glue/adhesive bond fails :lol:

Bro just a suggestion, if you want to play safe, can actually do stitching across the spring bar end.
