Re: Omega SPeedmaster
just to share my 0.2 cents..

bro, that one in mentioned sgroc thread is the Omega Speedmaster Reduced 3510.50. Its not the full sized speedy pro. Hence the price is cheaper and ought to be cheaper IMO. If its the full size one, probably already sold by now.

Lunarin CEO 's speedy is a full sized 1861 mechanical winding speedy, son of 861 movt speedy pro..

worth the price? probably you have to do own local shops/local forums/foreign forums researches riao..do so using "Omega 3510.50" as keyword.

*Definitely IMHO a full sized watch is much more c ollectible and resellable than a reduced set.

Re: Omega SPeedmaster
Anyone know any shop selling a used or even new( is there new??) omega 3510.10

Reason being my colleague is buying for his cousin in china, so he wants a receipt, box set with papers will be preferred.
Re: Omega SPeedmaster
I take a slightly different view on this. I've got three different speed masters, largest 43mm, smallest 39mm (this so-called Reduced).

The reduced is 39mm, though omega website lists it as 35mm. In practice, it wears very well on my 6.75inch wrists, and the bracelet links are shorter, so it wraps nicely and I get a very nicely centered clasp. It is my favorite speedy.

I'm into the hand-winding moon watch thing, but this Reduced appeals in a different way. Firstly, it is thin, at slightly less than 12mm. Secondly, it is auto, which I like. I tend to leave my chrono running when the watch is worn, so being auto is a great bonus for me. Thirdly, it has an acrylic crystal (like the moon watch), which is attractive to me both aesthetically and ideologically.

The Reduced is discontinued, beats at a higher frequency, and apparently the market prices are rather attractive. If you have the funds, why not?

I agree. I had this reduce for awhile. The lume is the same as the original moonwatch too. I cant recall if the caseback is the same though.

The auto movement is the thing i miss most. Not that i dun like manual winding. Sometimes, will forget and the watch just stops. Really irks me alot.
Re: Omega SPeedmaster
Yah Loh. Best is to own both eventually.

Yeap i m back. Not in seoul. Was in gyeyang-gu. Just non stop rain.
Re: Omega SPeedmaster
the problem with the auto chrono is that its not a true chrono , but a module slapped onto a eta auto

servicing is more difficult and costly , cos most of the time the entire module is replaced then reattached

next thing the pusher and crown isnt aligned one for such a movement
