if u dont mind preown, you probably can save $200 off the price you mentioned. Higuchi will probably incur GST when it arrives in SG. Local disty Big Time will probably cost your $800 and above iirc.

Sounds reasonable to me for a brand new piece although it was a fraction lower a couple years back when yen was lower. Since many don't feel the price is good, any suggestions on where can get a better deal new?
