SRP313K1 - My Initial take...
Now that I've finally got some time to sit down to examine the watch closely, I'd offer my initial assessment and findings of this watch.



Firstly, it feels lighter than my old orange monster. the chain feels a lot lighter. reminds me of hollow links.











Secondly, maybe it's due to optical illusion cos it's almost entirely black, it looks smaller on my wrist than my OM.











The indices are different on the new model. Triangles are amployed instead of rectangles in the old model. The 12 0'oclock index is different too.







the bezel still look pretty similar.

however, the crown is different now.

the old model has vertical grooves that run parallel to the crown guard.





whereas the new model has netted grooes like those on a pistol grip.







the 4r36 seems louder than the 7s26.

Nice insight... hmm... it's still early that the "salted egg" taste will still linger in your mouth yet...

But just the look of the dial, as well as the black casing... makes me want to cook up a pot of plain porridge to go along with it.

yeah, this one stole the limelight when uncle goh, brought them out to show me. this one somehow seems and feels more complete. but the one major let down at the moment has to be the wegith of the watch. the bracelet is just too light for me.

this "salted egg" dial with "century egg" skin was the first one that draw my attention as well when the news leaked out several months back.

i guess i'm going to wait for the P.I set in the next few months... this year purchase schedule too full liaoz.

unfortunately for me, unlike you guys, I'm not on uncle goh's priority list cos you guys are more lao jiao so will probably clear out all the PI sets by the time I get there so I decided not to wait and hoot instead.

i think you had mis-understood abt local and P.I set liaoz....

No matter which seller, even in little india as well as Bencoolen, the P.I sets will come in to local market roughly about 4~5mths later. Not together with local sets at the same time of the launch as TongSia knows, that will eventually cut their share in market take ins. So for P.I sets of a particular model that you fall upon... you have to wait.

i know. what i mean is that i usually only go to ah goh forthe pi sets only. hardly go anyway else cos they dont seem to offer me as good a deal. but whenever i arrive at his place, he'd have just sold the ones i want. so if i loon till the pi sets come, you guys will probably get your hands on them faster then me.

Actually Eencik Goh dun really want to keep stock one lah. After all the buy n sell, and several lessons learned, he is most happy when stocks comes and go like lightening speed.
