Yah bro... U r right. But bronze itself is quite soft in nature.. Might not be pure bronze as casing right?

Yah, some alloy they use, not a metal or chemical expert, but here's the alloy they use.



CuSn8 (Copper/Tin) compound referred to as “bronze”

Just realise bronze is an alloy, not pure compound.. so it should be harder than a pure compound.. ?

lol same same although I only remember alloys are formed because of certain properties.

just sharing some information i've come across when reading up about bronze and bronze cases.



bronze is strong and has a high resistance to corrosion... that's why it is used quite a bit in shipping and also in aircraft landing gears (but its used together as an aluminum alloy... from what i've read :oops:)



but whatever practical benefits bronze offers, a watch is more about esthetics than anything else... right guys?

so some people do not like how bronze ages and oxides... patchy black or even green.



but to clean bronze, i've read that tomato ketchup is commonly used as a cleaning/polishing compound and it really restores the bronze to like new conditions :? :?

Interesting... take somebody's bronze watch with a painful built patina over the years and clean it with ketchup ! lol

My friend did it on his watch!! And it works.
