Signs of bad times ahead...

Signs of bad times ahead...
I am seeing alot of high end watches being sold a relatively good prices (compared to last yr when economy is booming) but still no takers...

Is it a sign of bad times ahead? People saving $ for future?

Personally, have been curbing my watch craze for some time too...

Ur thoughts please :D
Re: Signs of bad times ahead...
Sure? I see that whenever JW put up a watch for sale, it'll be snapped up in 2 days time ley... I don't see anything sangkok...

Even Encik Goh also didn't receive any 2nd hand trade in also wor...
Re: Signs of bad times ahead...
You have a point there..

Maybe I should use JW and Ah Goh as yardsticks instead... =p

Talking about JW, my friend when there to get a Dievas and have to wait for 30 over minutes before he is being served.... Very crowded (says my friend).

So I think might not be that true. Furthermore now government is doing an exercise to increase lowly paid workforce... Those that earn below $1k will be increased to $1200.... Those currenly earning $1200 will try to increase till $1500. It's a nation wide thing with union pushing for it also.

Its more like the middle incomes family that is sangko (stuck).... No help from government... No increment.... Haiz
Re: Signs of bad times ahead...
Jw is always crowded, esp lunch time.

Its a stark contrast to shops in chinatown pile with whole shop of rollies.

Generally bcos of the nice n courteous attitude of John n wife. Their servicing lead time aso goes to show their standard.

Sometimes you just have to get John's attention to cut short the waiting time.

At JW, you can see a queue forming outside an hour before the shop opens for business.
