Not long ago, got ah lian and aunty quarrel in MRT....then lately 2 uncles fight in SBS....



Sg very stressed lah, i think more to come from another public transport episode .....



maybe next, we will see chio bu fight in the MRT? pull hair and screams... All bra pulled off. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Seriously, I think people in the public transport are really tense and jumpy.



I always get frustrated easily when I take the trains, people shoving their way in when I'm exiting, gave them shoulders, bags bumps on my way out, people standing at the door, refusing to move in etc etc.



All this tension just builds up.. I won't be surprised as such incidents are getting more common... plus of course the social media makes it easily for such incident to surface on the Internet.

I tnk all along is lik dat lah...just dat last x pple not so bo liao take pic or vid post on-line...

A TRS reader submitted this video to us this morning in which a China women quarrels with a Singaporean elderly women over a priority seat. This video is taken by our TRS reader on 24th July on a SBS Transit Bus in Singapore. Watch the shocking video below:

"Why do you discriminate against me? Aren't Singapore's ancestors from China? Why would you discriminate against China?"







Someone else on the bus joined in and told the PRC woman to give up the seat to the elderly lady as it was a priority seat.







She ignored the others on the bus despite others complaining that she should just let the matter go. She was holding up the bus and everyone else with her arguing.







The PRC woman was very agressive and rude and pulled the elderly lady saying that she'd take her to the police for disrimination.







It seems clear that the PRC woman doesn't understand the simple courtesy of giving up one's seat for an elderly person. It seems she also does not realise that Singapore has priority seats especially for people needing a seat.







The culture in China is very competetive already and actions that we believe are normal seem not to exist th same way there. It is not a common culture to give something up to someone else especially when you don't know the person and will be worse off after giving.







Of course the elderly woman is also to blame here for calling the woman an Ah Tiong and acting negatively toward her aswell. But to Singaporeans it seems normal to show respect to elders which this lady clearly didn't. These types of culture conflicts cause friction within our community.







Do you welcome such unrespectful people into our country? There will surely be more to come if the floodgates are not closed.







Maybe its time Singaporeans take action towards the government to force them to stop such foreigners from invading our land and causing so many social problems.







Perhaps a solution would be to implement culture tests into the immigration proceedure. As an example, those who wish to migrate to Australia are required to read books about 'life in Australia' and pass exams on basic cultural aspects. It would be good if new arrivals were taught some of the basic expectations of living in our community.







Our dear Singaporean readers, let's stop the invasion now before it is too late. The government needs to see there are real problems which can be stopped with a range of measures. Whether it be as radical as stopping their inflow or as simple as teaching the new immigrants.

This is the sad truth. COMPETITION is fierce over there; and you learn it from day one of birth... getting an appointment for giving birth in a public hospital; then day care, then kindergarden etc.. not just into the good ones, but just trying to get a place into school.



but then the world is changing; if we or our kids continued to be groomed in a strawberry world... then they will just stayed as landlords (renting out our HDB flats) to the FT...

Exactly. This is not just happening to Singapore. I spoke to my HK vendor, they also complain about them. Especially this is the year of dragon, a lot of PRC want a dragon baby, they book all the HK hospitals to deliver, end up HKers suffer, first the hospitals, then the schools and the rest of their children life.



It's just that competitive. We can complain all we want, end of the day, govt don't really look into such small cases, waste of their time. If we don reproduce enough to feed the economy, they will import.



Everything is so globalised nowadays, Ang mo also feel the heat when their mega MNCs decide to cut cost and move operations to Asia.



We will feel the heat soon when other countries pick up.
