Any bros here know what a gpmg commander does? just got a call up for a gpmg comd course at the end of the year. I only had a basic gpmg run-down lesson back in sispec. :(

So you hold the most dua-ki huan, you give flanking command lor... that's GPMG Commander course?

I from signals... in armor... almost same thing lah...

No need go attack one lar...find one nice high spot to deploy n support fire when two sections are clearing the trenches lar...

wah sounds quite good, although i'm dubious y i'm sent for such course when i'm from airbase infantry.. i only remember commander carry all the ammo and our trainers command us to chiong up hill with jerry can on our backs as practice.. :shock:



hope my two men play watch too then can tcss watches liao. :D

acually the most shag one is not the person carrying the gpmg but the person carrying the rounds.



my section is, 1 gunner & one partner tag team, no commander one



the person carrying the tripod & rounds is sibeh shag sia, i see his face,lol

Let me try to recall...

1 platoon 4 sections

1st section 7 men= 1 GPMG gunner, 3 rifleman, 1 SAW gunner, 1 radioman, 1 RPG/Bazooka firer

2nd section 7 men= 1 GPMG gunner assistant, 3 rifleman, 1 SAW gunner, 1 medic, 1 section leader

so...

1 platoon = 1 PC + 1 SERGEANT + 2x of above... 30men liaoz lor... i don't see any tag team ley.



Or i think... i out of touch for too long riaoz...

1st section 7 men= 1 GPMG gunner, 3 rifleman, 1 SAW gunner, 1 radioman, 1 RPG/Bazooka firer

2nd section 7 men= 1 GPMG gunner assistant, 3 rifleman, 1 SAW gunner, 1 medic, 1 section leader

so...

I carried 1x gpmg, 1x m203 , two SBO Bras , two fullpacks n one sect comd bag with claymore mine...and ya...one 732 signal set:...left flanking force commander somemore....



Hence, i am known as ARMANI sect com...chio chio armani action when flanking...one man army...

Section training, MG section becomes enemy. Cos no need to do ambush, assault, fire movt. :D

And the larger the scale of exercise...best is brigade level. The more chow boh lan, cos all the big boss busy.

That was like 14years ago man...now tio kick out of SAF for being too old n unfit...



Hahahaha....gpmg TEAM is the best one...only the walking part siong...as in heading to FUP area lar...after that sit and relax....take a puff while supporting fire from hilltop....sibei song one....maichiam Hamburger Hill style...hahahahahaha.....

So far reservist not really siong lar...afterall even the commanders are NS - MEn....hahaha...just wayang here and there nia...and often...many of the men are more fit and have better field endurance than the senior officers!



Hahahaha.....my CO ...hahaha.....all i can say is.....he is better off with a Pen than with any weapon.....



My very last outfield he actually ask me......nowadays take claymore mine for wad ar....still have har..i tot no more using liao....can always use m203 to lobe a few hedp rounds mah...WAH LAU EH....M203 gunners oso need to rest one leh...u think 24 hours guarding meh....WTF....



i heard liao all the men luffing maichiam like hyenas sia...with a few jackals luffs thrown in too....really classic moment as in seeing his bewildered face...hahahahaha....

Luckily i from Armor... BCTC only dig trench once. Another one during the unit high key test... can't remember that name liaoz... continuous 5 days out from camp, no bathing... powder bath all the way... lumpa area too much abrasion, cannot walk properly

yeah i saw before, the good thing is 3 ppl dig one big trench as compared to the usual 1 shell scrape than 2 buddies dig one more trench. :)



but enemies usually take out the MGs first. :lol:

my ICT Bn CO,officers,sgt and men damm garang ley... morning and noon PT give all out...and a good bunch still has good fitness... can really beat the current trainees in power runs and static PT.



wonder wat comes next for the remaining 2 weeks of ICT..



I only carried GMPG one before for 5km nia.. rest is other weapons used by my unit..

who say no star one....always have star in sky...you need to observe longer lah... also can read up on basic formation of them esp the Orion's belt (3 stars on straight row) that points to North.

There's always stars... just that Singapore too much light pollution.... just need to stare into the darkness and let your eyes adjust.. after shielding from the bright lights....
