Swatch Refresh....

Swatch Refresh....
Hi Guys

Just dug out my old swatches from 1998-2000 , it was my first gift from my cousin when I started to join the work force. Back to those days, no money even to buy watches, watch collection has not even come to my my mind. Does anyone here started to collect swatch since then??

1) Restless ( dont know still can find strap replacement?? any advice )

2) ???

3) General shots

Re: Swatch Refresh....
Straps for Swatch watches quite standard sizes, so not be an issue.
Re: Swatch Refresh....
can buy at any Swatch outlet. just choose from their binders of straps & bracelets. but may not be complete depending on outlet. some bracelets can place order if not available in store.

there is a Swatch outlet at Junction 8.

indeed, these few will be my version of Patek's tagline

'I'm merely looking after it for my next generation'

if the watches are still working, it will be passed down to my daughter as her 1st watch

Re: Swatch Refresh....
no need, just use normal Paros leather lor but u have to notch out 3 holes in order to fit into the Swatch lugs.

but take note, if your watch is damn old, like mine

the lug will break.

why i know?

cos mine just broke

the plastic is very weak liao

i tink u better buy back stock Swatch straps ba

Nice Bro. I just send one of mine to MBS outlet to change strap and they offered free polishing of plexi. Thumbs up. So now I know Swatch does free service for swatch watches...:)

YAH! It was the initial combination of the dial design and the velcro feel style strap that caught my eye when i bought this piece. Really fits the theme "western country side" well.
Re: Swatch Refresh....
Some old keeps digged out in the last few weeks...

last week

today...

Re: Swatch Refresh....
my 1986 Sir Swatch..never been worn and only one I kept from sold collection. 8-)

Re: Swatch Refresh....
my only collectible swatch series,lol

Swatch Hour & Minute

YCS4007- BUSHMASTER
Digged another 10+yrs piece from my collection for exposure today...

Too bad, the 1/10 split second subdial is spoilt for a certain time.

YCS4009AG- DAREDEVIL
One another IRONY ALUMINIUM Chrono that's 10+yrs. At least the subdial @ 2 is still working!

The RACING theme pattern clearly printed on the dial.

YCS4015AG- MIGHTY
ALUMINIUM IRONY released 10yrs+ ago in 2001.

A little decorations of red hands, makes this piece looks more closer to RACING theme.

YCS411G- CADMOS WHITE
IRONY Chrono released more than 12yrs! Can't remember got it when...more than 10yrs if not wrong.

Zoom in can see the year of the release, dial doesn't look cheap! Luckily, the subdial doesn't like the others in the Aluminum series... couldn't work after more than 10yrs of ownership...

Polished, and chromy surface of bracelet and case... a headache, a finger magnet...

Cyclops free crystal... good and clear view on time reading!

Re: Swatch Refresh....
I hv an old Swatch POP pocket watch.

Use to have a happy joe and a irony chrono, but both are sold.

Re: Swatch Refresh....
Here is mine,

YCS438G BLUSTERY
IRONY Chrono released more than 10yrs! Can't remember got it when...more than 9yrs if not wrong.

Zoom in can see the year of the release, subdial doesn't look lack of details! Unfortunately due to the slightly darker tone, the subdial's lines gets easily ignored...

Polished, and chromy surface of bracelet and case... a headache, a finger magnet...

Odd cyclops, odd position... always thought that a droplet of water not removed... duh...

Surprisingly... there're lume applied on the well layout dial! But not so strong after more than 10yrs...

Re: Swatch Refresh....
Now you make me wanna dig out my collection. Dunno whether still working....
YCS412G- MESMERIC
From the year printed on the dial, this model is definitely released more than 13yrs. However... i couldn't remember when did i get this, as i was very particular about the hands design...

Satin and silky blue dial, with bluish subdial hands. Luckily, the subdials are chromy colored, offers better contrast in split timing telling.

Polished, and chromy surface of bracelet and case... a headache, a finger magnet...

As with other IRONY Chronos... the crystal is plastic, and subjected to scratches...

Got one irony for the wifey (plain dial, no markers, no indices) and she kept telling me the wrong time!

That's the uniqueness and fun of SWATCH! Most of the designs we cannot understand yet it seems a little logical...

I think SWATCH SG should rename this model you bought to resonate with local context... "ANY HOW HUMTUM" what do you think?

Older IRONY have lots of bluish dials, be it light or darker in tone... but this one caught my eyes, not because of the light metallic blue wish often is seen on female makes of other brands, but the size as well as the layout of the dial, with addition of the cyclops that makes it more manly... Unfortunately 10+ years later, the 1/10 subdial got stuck, because of long term non usage...

Oh dear, that's unfortunate. Do you intend to get it fixed? Really love this shade of blue for dial. Can't find any in recent years.
Re: Swatch Refresh....
I replaced battery for my wife's Swatch at Takashimaya last month and learned that from March this year (2016) onwards...battery replacement is FOC!
