i know i really shouldnt be toying with the idea on what to hoot next.. when i get my next pay.

but im really wondering how much is appropriate to pay for this piece.

Take this as a reference price. Big Time will likely have one piece of this; however, suggest you go to the Sims Ave branch rather than Taka as prices are better there. If you do buy it from outside Singapore, don't forget about GST.

List price is 52,500YEN. And really depends on the discount the retailer gives.Like what coolieND said, sims is a better bet to check prices. Think if you can get for S$700+, its considered alright. (please don't take this as absolute, IMO only). Someone recently acquired one from Vivo city Seiko and list for this had to be S$900+ before 10%. Maybe there is a 2nd hand one available in the international forums but you will have to consider GST if you buy it.

Yup. I the one who got SARB017 fromVivo Boutique and was given 20% discount. Yes the retail price is $900+

i really like the SARB series and im still fantasizing over the SARB031. i also have the SARB029 now.





was on the look out for such a lord marvel on ebay but the auction price shot through the roof :o





got seduced by the blue sumo lately, so this is quite preliminary (i have a feeling a few kind bros will start posting pictures of their blue sumos) :D

im afraid that once i get hooked onto the divers, i might just sink deeper (pun intended) :geek:



hope i can maintain within the classic lines.

this could also be my next but im less impressed by the fact that it's date is controlled by a separate push button

Didn't realise that the 023 has such a clean looking dial... from other pics, it def looked more creamy white almost beige...

the dial is a very porcelain white... which i find very unique.

and if you look closely, the hands are angled on each side with a black line down the middle. This helps ALOT in the readability.

Normally i find it hard to read the time on white dial watches because the typical silver hands used usually washes out and blends into the dial. (ofcourse, unless u get one with blue or black hands...)



I often wondered why the SARB021/023 cost as much as a sumo... after owning the SARB023 i realised the reason is these tiny details and finishing that Seiko has taken the effort to include into this watch.



it is a classic dress watch with a modern look.. the angled case lines, solid hr markers, sharp lines... almost swiss looking, but still very japanese in essence ;)

wow! thank you for the introduction. i never knew a sarb021/023 cost that much and the markers are indeed very solid!

it is actually the classic design (domed crystal and applied markers) that really gets to me but im gonna check this out for sure.

im also starting to have the taste for a mm300, dropping the idea of a blue sumo.

been looking at "uncle" looking dress watch lately...thinking of picking up the sarb035...what do u guys think? or maybe i should just whack one of the much cheaper seiko 5 - SARB look a likes to see if i really like this type of design?

Like what CEO said, a Sarb will wear much differently from a seiko 5.My personal reccomendation will be to actually try one on. I think you can try it at big time.
