hi intend to get a watch from ebay seller dabrands.

it is a seiko spc054p1 and its very cheap at 300usd compare to other grey market seller which is offering at 400usd to 550usd and also he is selling with original seiko warranty and boxes



can give me some opinion?

the price was from auction..one was sold at 285usd and another was at 305usd.

Guy looks reputable but don't know personally as never bought from them. If you are using PayPal, if anything you ca dispute (if it's a fake or deal doesn't turn out the way you expect)



Am sure fellow bros here will advise the same thing, or maybe have mo to add.

yap most probably getting the watch from him. after i get the watch can i bring it to shops to verify that it is real? i have read in this forum that K2 is a very good shop. am i allow to do so?

I believe I've ordered from that seller... I had no issues with them at all, the watch was exactly as I hoped. The warranty card is included, but there's no way to tell if it would be valid or not without checking with TS directly, and I haven't seen any reason to use it as of yet.



Still, I'm sure dabrands would be quick in responses in case anything is an issue straight out of the box, and there's always K2 in case anything really is out of sorts w/ the warranty... ;)

good to hear that coolieND. i know that if something is wrong straight out of the box i can contact dabrands to change a new set for me but my main concern is what if it is a fake. it is selling a lot lesser then many of the grey market seller. i am a noob in watches so i cant really check if it is real when i get it.



anyway after getting comments and researching on google on this seller, seems all comment is good so i have placed an order for the watch. i will post pic of the watch once i get it and hopefully all the pros here will help me verify it..

hahaha should be here soon.. his feedback a lot of buyer says that they receive the watch within like 3 to 4 days. some living in the uk or us

What CEO said, unlikely the stuff dabrands sells is fake. On the other hand, I've also heard the stories of third shifts and the ones where a duplicate factory is set up across the road... :lol: :twisted:

Third shift, aka ghost shift, aka midnight shift. Basically outsourced production hubs making extra units and selling as original. I know it's been a phenomenon for a while, definitely present in the mid 1990s.

Basically, yes. Made in the same factory, by the same workers, using same or similar materials (whatever factory pays for), though there might not be the same QC. Because the branding company doesn't own its own factory, it becomes hard for them to control.



Just so you know, though, I am joking.... sort of. :P

wow what is fedex doing..i was home the whole day and when i check tracking on the internet it says i wasnt at home so they cant do the delivery. and there isnt a note. called fedex and check and said they couldnt get hold of the courier.

It happens ! I had it when it's Speedpost.. I think they skip your delivery, probably can't deliver on time.

they called my back at 12.30 and did a bit of anger frustration venting. said that i want the package to be delivered today not tomorrow, if i wanted tomorrow then why would i opt to have it delivered using fedex priority. that did the trick and it was at my house at 4.30pm. satisfy with my new watch. i will post pic tml.. :D :D :D

I also have a pogue that have never reached me since last october 2011.
