Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey
4 o'clock crown is a nice touch
Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey
so maintain a 4:00 crown or a 11:00 crown?
Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey
11 o'clock might not be friendly to right-handers thou
Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey

"zeikphur"

Or could we place them in such:

65

SCF

Where the 65 is bigger and scf is nicely set below like an underlining.

Placed above the 6 hour marker, if it's too conspicuous, we can mute it using black, maintaining a clean stealth look.

My 2cents worth :)

Bro.. quite hard to visualised.

Can do a simple mockup on the dial??
Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey
Just my 0.01 cent input....

A draft to get you guys to come up with some creative dial design.....

BTW, NE15 movt can be implant into the SKX case..... I have a source but will need 100 order to push through! Or else, we can still use the same base 7S movt to keep the cost low and affordable....

Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey
i will try to come out with a SC logo

instead of 'SC +65' letters

a logo might look more interesting than 2 letters & numerics on the dial

I welcome others to chime in their design as well, i know there are some designers amongst us

these logos are nice

Can the date window be at 4.30 like one of the dials you showed us?

Sc logo my preference for below 12, for symmetry. Especially if we can tuck the date window unobtrusively at 4.30..

Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey

Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey
As of now, we're sticking to

- 007 base

- smooth bezel

- VX dial

-'stealth Logo' to be below 12:00

- Date position @ 4:30 position

- Hands (TBA)

1) SUS

2) Doxa style Plongeur

- C-Ring

1) S/S

2) Black Matt (so visually, the dial will look bigger)

Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey
we hope to standardise all design to be similar across the board

Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey

bro, u so patriotic ar,lol

1) we hope to keep to a neutral colour than a coloured dial, easier & more versatile. If we were to come out with coloured dial, that particular 'colour' might not gum another person as well

2 & 3) i did thought of this but it doesn't look nice when I did the mockup on photoshop

hence we chosen black dial & VX dial ;)

Re: Seiko Club Singapore Watch #1 Survey
Guys, while we are all excited about it, we haven't settle the costing although we already have almost 30 members who registered interest.

So let's take this for cost reference: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f30/fs-brand-new-seiko-smooth-bezel-skx-mods-639122.html" false;

A SKX007 with smooth bezel, modded dial and hands cost USD290 * 1.3 = $377, If we customise the dial, with a small qty of 30, I believe the watch cost will go up to at least $400, so our target price of $300 and below is very tough.

Parts alone could be around USD100 - 150.

I also thinking of logistic now, I believe some of us already have a SKX and plan to use that for modding, so we suggest we just purchase the parts from say Harold.

So I think here's what going to happen.

1. We can get a quote from him for parts or final modded watch.

2. With that budget, all interested parties can decide whether they still want to go ahead

3. With the finalised qty, interested parties will send the funds over, so he can start manufacturing the dials and put the other parts together and ship over to us individually. (Ideally we don't consolidate orders as the amount is too big.)

4. Parties who order parts only, will procure their own SKX007 and look for a modder. (We can also check with Mr Goh if he can order those watches and sell us as a package + modding services)
