How to take out fat spring bar?

How to take out fat spring bar?
Wah damn piss off. Tried half hour still can't get it out....#%^*+=£€>



May I know how you guys take out fat spring bar from skx diver (without lug hole) one ar?

The fat spring bar do not have the "groove" like those thin spring bar, so how you guys take it out?

Use a sharp flat screw driver and insert it in between the bar and the case and force pull it back. Should come out!



If not come out.... cut it off and buy a new fat bars. :mrgreen:

So sad. Wanted to use the sc Zulu for my watch but the embroidery too thick to go thru the fat spring bar. Now wanna get the fat ass spring bar out to insert the strap also cannot.

Use a knife (not too sharp, incase slip) and insert the edge of knife between where the spring bar collar is touching the lug.

Apply a bit of force and turn (pry) the blade so u r pushing the collar back towards the center of the springbar.

To help, u can lean the face of the blade against the lug and use it as leverage.



Hope that helps.



Otherwise use fingernails and pull collar back. You hv no endlinks so u can easily access the springbar :)

In your case, with just the watch head, use thumbnail. I see ah goh does that all the time and I tried and it worked ! and most importantly you are unlikely to hurt your watch or yourself with your thumbnail.

I use a flat screw driver, can be tough initially (try many times) but will become easier once u get the hang of it.

Worse case, ask Ah goh take it out for u...



Once taken out, replace with fat springs bars that have flange ...
