FYI as I just email Harold to ask abt whether he hab Sapphire crystal for Seiko Sinn and guess wat he reply as;



''I (Harold) have an original crystal here (HK) and will be sending it out for sapphire. They should be available in about 1 month.''

Agreed, better check for pics before committing, as Sinn has a large crystal and if I recall, it's flushed with the bezel, a dome crystal may look different.

yeah i think a flat would be best.. coz u dun want to take anything away from the way the dial looks, the domes curvature will distort the dial when u look at it.



and being such a large surface area, a sapphire might be a good idea, to minimize accidental scratches.

i got a small tiny scratch on mine from a loose bracelet collar floating around in the box :evil:

Frankly sapphire is kinda over hype to me. LOL.(I'm still old school, acrylic still rocks)

The cousin of the 6309, the 6306 is a 150m diver that looks and feels identical to the cushion-cased 6309, but was marketed only in Japan and uses the cal. 6306 movement.



The cal. 6306 movement has 21J and runs at 21,600 bph. It hacks and has a quickset day/date calendar mechanism with a Japanese/English day wheel.



The 6306 divers are much rarer to find than the 6309s because their production years were relatively short and they were Japan-only models that use a 21J hackable movement (compared to the 17J non-hacking movements in the 6309s). Like the 6309, the 6306 diver has a bi-directional non-locking bezel.



The 6306 diver differs from the 6309 in that the cal. 6306 movement has 21J (as supposed to its base caliber 6309's 17J) and it has a Japanese/English day wheel

I don't mind exchanging my sapphire for an original 6306 crystal, although my sapphire crystal has a chip at 6 on the inside.

shld be ba, goh told me 6309 xtals can be used for my 7548 so i assume he had used 6309 xtal for my 7548 ba, those flat xtal,lol
