Here's a sneak peek at how the next touch screen BB device will be...

http://crackberry.com/blackberry-10-alpha-dev-device-specs-and-features". Blackberry 4.2"??? Recycle part si boh? Some more no mention whether izzit Gorilla glass or not... or izzit like Torch Touch, plastic huan?

Storage: 16GB Internal.

So? Meaning no Micro-SD extension slot like I-Phone lor?

Network: Quad Band HSPA+, No LTE support enabled. microSIM.

By the time 4G goes full service, maybe next year or so... the market will be so full of LTE makes liaoz... Blackberry CMI liao lah...

Connectivity: Bluetooth, NFC

NFC still new to me... dunno how the thing works ley...

Cameras: Front Facing with no flash. Rear Camera with Flash.

The camera on Torch Touch is a improvement over my Storm 2... hopefully this one can at least compete with Motorola lor...

Ports: 3.5MM Headphone Jack, microHDMI, microUSB.

Something new... MicroHDMI, goo for my movies "presentation" lah... but then, 16GB??? How to store? How many can store @ 720p?

Battery: Non-Removable.

Wah lan ehh...!!!!! Like iphone like that? Then warranty over, get rip off by either private shops or Blackberry for replacement of low capacity battery!!!

Most importantly... The FREAKING design looks too much like I-Phone ley!!!!
Interested... IF they release a version without a camera. That's probably the only reason why I still use a BlackBerry.

My iPhone and Android devices pretty much do everything better than my BlackBerry, all without having to pay for a BlackBerry subscription.
??? U like camera-less BlackBerry?

Hmmm... it's not surprising @ all, when especially nowadays, you see more Galaxy users than most other brand users, including Apple around u.

Got to admit, Samsung Galaxy phones, be it S2, R, W... got good cameras than Sony which used to be the most sought after brand in the camera arena.

As for me... I have both BlackBerry Storm2 and the most recent Torch Touch.

On camera, the Torch wins with better resolution and light sense, together with other better hardware specs such as larger screen, multi-touch sensitivity as well as faster CPU. However, i'm still holding Storm for its Sure-Press screen, and good battery PowerReserve.

The new upcoming touch device interesting, yeah... but the lack of removable battery is a big no no for me...

The only reason why I think one will like a camera-less phone is because he wears pixelated uniform to work. :)

Related to the gov, but not in the military.

I don't mind reservist, good chance to take a break, but didn't get called.
Don't re-invent the wheel mah, since a certain form factor is so popular, just copy, great artist copy.

Anyway NFC is near field communications or c something, basically it's like ez-link card concept, suppose to be used for payments, so your phone becomes a "ez-link" card and you pay for purchases and they are billed to your singtel/m1/starhub plans....

You don't need to wear uniform to get the no camera rule, some companies do impose that, like ST... :)

Finally... OS10 Z10 is out today!!!

Best of all... now no need BIS to use BBM liaoz!
The Z10 looks interesting, but a little too late. Switch from a BB9780 to cheapo non-camera android and iPhone5 at the beginning of the year.

Getting rid of BIS and the new sleek hardware probably meant for a more consumer phone. However, IMHO, it wouldn't win android in terms of hardware, nor iOS for apps/UI. Whatsapp and iMessage is slowly eroding BBM market, so that's one less reason to buy a BlackBerry, even without the need for BIS.

The strength of the Z10 is probably still in its security, but that's not something the consumer market really appreciates. Good try, but way too late....
