I saw this watches at thewatchsite AL(businesseverywhere) he is from HK. Just wanted to know any bro bought any watches from him before. As this is the first time for me. Payment through Paypal. Please advise. Thanks alot.

No clue, I've seen his posts, but never been tempted (well, not badly tempted, at least! ;)).

Suggest you post to the SCWF forum itself, since he's listed there and looks to have sold a few; perhaps you'll get a better response?

hi ant,I am sure by now SCS bros have given you their general opinion of the seller AL.. so the next step would be to work out the impt details with him(or any other seller). Impt esp if you are buying a high priced emperor tuna,

-total amount payable via paypal (remember if you send as gift= no right to appeal / start a paypal dispute)

-method of posting(not all posting methods support insurance of watches ;if so might be up to certain amount only)

,full online track VS partial status track

-insured amount

Wow, dont know getting watch from oversea is so troubles .....almost forget about insurance too. BTW how much for insurance a watch?

Ok, insurance is on the sellers responsibility, just communicate clearly if touch wood, the watch goes missing, make sure the seller can claim his $ back.

For buyer, it's dead simple, pay with PayPal via Credit Card, if things goes south, raise a PayPal dispute or call up your Credit Card company. For seller, he just have to insure his package so he can get his $$ back.

Of course, with insured shipping, cost will go up. You are buying a USD2400 watch, I will recommend to take EMS shipping which provide more insurance.

The normal mail has very low insurance value. Since he's from Hong Kong, you can always visit Hong Kong Post website and see what shipping options they offer, so you can counter check with him.

Anyway he's a great guy, I believe you guys can work something out. :)

His price is 2400usd only for EMS shipping charges and I had to add 50usd for watch insurance if I want to protect it. And the total cost is USD2450 after covert to SGD is about $3150 +/- . All bro is this the price $3150 all I need to paid or there is still somemore other chargers that I need to be hightlighted. BTW is this a reasonable price to buy from oversea. Please advise. Thanks

Definitely 7% GST is coming, ICA will never let that get through. I would say insurance is a must for me if I were to get something like that through EMS.

If you pay by paypal... i think you'll get hit with a 3% foreign transaction fee. You'll definitely get hit with a 1.5-3% conversion rate off of the spot, which today is ~1.24, depending on your card (PP does a conversion rate with a ~2.5% difference from spot).

Otherwise, I think that should be everything...

Indonesian resellers, as much as I dislike Seiko's pricing difference, may be able to get a better deal for you new. Perhaps check with kucimo or shaggyangel?
