Testing out my wife's new Olympus XZ-1 camera.



The macro function is very fun to play with.

Fast response camera too, even on an overcast day like today, the pics were very clear.

Yah the metal is a bit dark.

Also doesn't help that it's a gloomy overcast day. I was only depending on whatever light comes thru the window.

Macro mode can be found on most cameras ba... dun really need to be strictly with DSLR onli... imo... it's the lens and perhaps the internal processing chip that makes better capture ba...

Not DSLR.

But thus macro func on the XZ-1 is much sharper than my canon G10 , especially in low light conditions. The pics don't look as grainy.

i took it without tripod.

if set it up correctly with lighting and tripod, i think can get very good macro shots.

Pretty good shooting. Something that can be brought around in your opinion? What settings you use?

Alot of ppl say iphone4S can already take really good shots.



Camera also like watch except mostly Japanese. And Canon is liken to Seiko imho. :) , Nikon/Olympus = Citizen, Fuji = Orient, Sony = Casio ( but alot more $$$).

Just peek at the EXIF, 1/8, you must have very steady hands or the camera have very image stabilising feature... :lol:

The XZ-1 is sane body size as the PEN-1, except no big lens.

Very easy to bring round.
