Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
Hope everyone enjoyed the photo. I be wearing it on april fool day!

Fresh out from the box, after receving it yesterday it is running at +5 sec / day.

Though the flightmaster offical spec is +15/-10sec per day. Hope the timing will be better after wearing it for some time.

Compare to my GS, it is a less finger print magnet as most of the titanium surface are brushed finished.

The Dual curved Sapphire crystal is smilar to my GS except I notice it has AR coating applied to the external surface of the crystal giving it a deep purplish glow smilar to those of camera lens.

The highly polished bezel has a uniquie brown tone that looks like gun metal. The bezel is able to turn in both diection different from the divers.
Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
Nice Flightmaster! Love these auto chrono's, those pictures are strong incentive to complete the Land, Sea, Air Master trio! :)

Too bad the auto chrono movements are now all being reserved for the high-end (read: expensive) models from Seiko...
Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37

Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
Think this is the more closely related member in the flightmaster family... is in fact a Credor

Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37

In HK it is about SGD2k to 2.3k after conversion, based on prices from three different shops. But only the sbds001, the other two models can't find..
Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
Wow that very cheap for the automatic Seiko Fligthmaster sbds001, even cheaper than marine master which is brand new at 2.5k.
Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
Yup, I think the prices I saw were reasonable also. I generally like this series, but would prefer to have the SBDS003. I cannot wrap my mind around a flightmaster with a diver-esque bezel. Another interesting feature that could possibly polarise opinions would be the chrono pushers. Unscrew to lock, screw=down to unlock... :? That's another feature that baffled me :(
Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
Just to share some observation I have notice on my newly obtained Seiko flightmaster built 2010 Nov batch.

There seems to be a new revision of the 6s37 movement in my brand new SBDS001.

Near the plate where the wording "6s37A" were stamped on, there seems have 3 unidentified "dots" that was previously not found in older batch of SBDS001.

This 3 unidentified parts are present in Tag Heuer 1887 and Junghans J 890 clone of Seiko 6s37 movement.

What is these 3 dots for? Any Sexpert can enlighten me?

My Flightmaster with new version of 6s37???

Photo of previous Flightmaster posted on web showing the difference in the plate.

Did u notice any jerk of the stop watch function second hand when you press the start/stop button? The 3 dots may have something to do with it.... my guess!
Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
The stopwatch function is very smooth. No jerk of the center sec hand nor the small second hand.

I noticed that subsequent new release of 6s37 seems to be using this new version as in this Seiko Brightz Phoenix Automatic Chronograph (Caliber 6s37) model SAGH007

Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
That is an amzing watch! A beauty as well, One of my grails. Congrats!!

You just confirmed that the 3 dots prevent jerking (an improvement over the old 6s37). ;)
Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
nice watch. hows the daily accuracy like for it?
Re: My 1st Automatic Chronograph: Seiko Flightmaster 6s37
Offical spec is +15/-10sec per day. Currently doing +5sec per day
