Yo bro, hope moi advice doesn't hurt chiu as one piece ish USD$575 convert to Sin ish SGD$718.75 which I find ish not worth 4 tis.



May I ask a few question chiu pay SGD$700 plus for....

1) De Brand or design :?:

2) Blue dial :?:

3) Eta movt:?:



Why not save de 700plus bullet 4 future grail... ;) Hoot ish easy bt if one day tis ish goin to be on the chopper board then shell will be a problem... :( bt bro tis ish moi advice & hope chiu mai angry wit me... :mrgreen:

I was surfing WUS Diver section when I saw this model. I have no idea about this brand or watsoever when I saw it, I was immediately drawn to the design(it did not dawn on me that it resembles a Doxa :o :lol: )



I began to read up on this brand etc etc & the more I read, the more I'm attracted to the unique blue dial. Actually I dun care whether it's a homage to a Doxa anot ;)



Ultimately, when a watch keeps appearing in your mind for the past 1 week, you know it's not really an impulse buy,lol



Currently, I'm going towards the boutique divers' line.



Was looking at a Halios/benarus/Helson/Crux before this brand appeared :lol:



lastly, why I wanted to get this is..



These are designs created by small US companies, I admired their patience for designing, sourcing parts, making prototype & finally the final product.



In another word, it's kind of exclusive. I bet you won't bump to another person here in sillypore who is wearing the same watch as u on street.



I like the exclusiveness although people may not know these boutique brands but it's selling like hot cakes in US :mrgreen:



one man's meat is another's poison ;)



you will understand why it's worth it after you handles one of these brands..the solid construction of it.



eg: my Sinn U1 1000m & my Ocean 7 LM3



Both are 1000m, although I dive but only desk dive :o base on the same base movt but price difference is...get my point bro?



I shld say, for now, my way of collecting is to value the price I'm paying for a similar movt, not becos of the brand & resale value ;)

You need to wear a doxa then you will know why it's so attractive. Somehow pillow cases divers have a certain feel.



Just like why 6309 pillow case is the more popular choice over the skx case.

Anyway $$ is always subjective, you ask a normal guy on the street. Will he pay $700 for this IM or a 6105 ? I bet he will just choose a brand new swiss movt watch over an old beat up 6105. :lol:

I like this watch, very nice dial colour and cushion case. I wouldn't associate it so much with a Doxa actually. Doxas have bezels that incorporate ND timing. As for the rice bead bracelet, it is not unique to Doxa.

So bottom line, it's still a ok priced watch taking in all considerations.



Maybe 6105 is the wrong model to use haha but you get the idea.



The perception of value varies with different people. $700 also can hoot a sumo, a few skx007, many casios but maybe a Rolex bracelet only lol.



If I have bullets and no doxa, I don't mind. Who wants to take over my doxa ? LOL.
