Economy slow in 2012???
Accordin to MAS survey tat Singapore economy to slow to 3% in 2012 or any further up to date news... :( Jz wanna 2 share wat hab happen in moi wk pl... :|



I'm workin at a MNC as procurement line & damm it as I can feel tat mkt is slower compare to 2011. Sad to say, rast wk moi work pl had alr retrench two staff (Head of production & Customer service) due production line ish going 2 move 2 other entities (to cut fixed costs) in-order 2 con't manufacturing IT pdts 2 substain company profit margins... :| De other retrenched staff ish handling India Rep office acc which Ind will be self-sufficient 2 purchase frm local source (India)... :| so moi tis two ladies ish being force 2 leave, who know future mayb me too... :(



nw habin two feelin as one ish sad tat they had been retrench bt de other pt ish an opportunity 4 me, as more work load will be added 2 me to oversee production & handle customer service (Internal company orders)... :( 8-) More work load mean I still can survive in moi work pl... :mrgreen: additional job added meaning package will be re-adjust bt hor mgt ask me to propose de package... :) shld i propose higher package :? :?



does chiu guys feel tat in your work place or ur own company :?: :?:

bro mayb yes ba... :( as moi wrk pl production is moving aft end of Apr to another entities to cut cost & alr retenched 2 of moi cocklick & aft end of Apr 11 more ppl (Production worker) is going to lose their job too... :(

I ish also in jipun MNC procurement,was given orders to reduce my buyers too,after this year most jipun coys suffered big losses.. Fell shop mouldy..

STmicroelectronics?



French & italian gov joint.



Sgs plus thomson.



Its a known fact stm is the lower paying company among semi-cond,the main reason, they never retrench, the management always say.



Then again, they did retrenchment.1st time 2 years back liao.

1 weekend in suntec only saw less than 20 recurited!

everyone in this industry flocks to Im flash walk in.



Hearsay they had to talk to Im flash to stop talking in ppl from semi cond! sighz

IMFlash had its fair share of bad times too.

3-4yrs back they retrench everybody shortly after joint venture. Only a couple yrs ago is good.

Everywhere has its up and down.

That payout is their typical bonus payout. So I think no difference to singtel except they cut cost.



Most probably Singtel outsourced the operations to huawei. So fixed opex for them ?
