FOC Wet pressure test for watches

I always like to know if my watches (many vintage) are water resistant, so I acquired a wet tester (up to 5ATM).

I believe many people here also "question" their watch resistant qualities of their older watches thus I am thinking of helping out and provide a FOC service to members here .

except mine goes to 6ATM (but I prefer to cap it at 5ATM).

Dun FOC la,at least exchange for some kopi,food or even straps or watch parts lo.barter trade.lol

What happens when the watch fails the test?

I think there's a dry test before wet. You compress first before introducing the water, then if it leaks, air bubbles will be coming out from the watch.

It *MIGHT* get flooded (there is a certain chance), I've got a bunch of "FAILED" watches and only some got flooded (and those that got "flooded" were saved by putting them in a sillica gel bag for a few days).



I think it depends on how *BAD* the seals are. No issues if the seals are just failing, but might flood if the seals are totally gone ....
