Gone... but not forgotten: my first skx mod
i was looking through my photobucket and i came across these old photos of the first mod i ever did.the watch was actually a 'feiko' skx011j from ebay - i saw it is a feiko, becoz the case angles and dimensions were not really correct when i compared to my skx007j. it could also be over polished... the dial lettering was also poorly finshed, but it was cheap and when i started out tinkering with modding, i wanted something cheap to play around with :D
i bought the dial, hands and bezel insert all from 10watches (noah). the chapter ring was from yobokies.
i think this dial is quite popular, as it came in different colors, but i went with the silver, simply becoz of the starburst effect. the hands were the batton hands. the original hands i chose had the tail sticking out, but i had to change it to the "non-tail" because it kept falling off. it was later i realised i had pressed the hands on too hard and 'stretched" the whole.. hehe (lesson learnt).
