How do I extend my wireless network connection at home?
Need some advice from the IT savvy bros here.



My wireless signal in my home is very strong in my living room and study, but it drops to near zero when I go into the bed room.



My wireless router and Internet connection is in my living room.



Anyone know how I can extend my wireless network so the signal is stronger in my bedrooms?

I face the same problem... Am thinking of getting a wireless repeater to extend the range... The halved bandwidth at the repeater is still sufficient for me....



You may also want to consider getting a higher powered antenna, or those home plug extenders...

You can also used power line network adapter kit.



Power-line adapters also know as homeplugs send data over existing power lines in the home,

which means there's no need for messy wires or expensive in-wall ethernet cables.

These adaptors allows you to connect to your router from anywhere in your house,

by plugging an adapter into your computer and a nearby power supply.

Power-line adapters also know as homeplugs send data over existing power lines in the home,

which means there's no need for messy wires or expensive in-wall ethernet cables.

I saw some of those range pwr pt entenders at Best Denki.

But I had no idea which is good or not. Belkin? Cisco? Some other brands.

I think apple airport works like a repeater.

It does not made used of the the power lines for transmission.



For brands moi not sure leh.

Think Azetech is 1 of the pioneer brands.



i intro to a colleague to use at his father in law's 3 storey house, works.

1). Got range booster



2). Setup another wireless router. I'm using 2 routers for my home, if on Level 1, will use its own network. Level 3 will use another wireless network. Some routers have a "wireless bridge" capability. OR, if cannot find, if u are more technical or adventurous, see if your router is supported under DD-WRT, if yes, install the software, and u can setup. It might be technical.
