Seiko auto chrono movt 8r28 or 6s28??

Seiko auto chrono movt 8r28 or 6s28??
i have a new grail in my sights: Seiko Auto Chronograph SAGK001

from what i have read, it uses the 8r28 movement, which features:

- true column wheel

- 3-pointed hammer component for "fly-back"/instant chrono reset

- subdials @ 3, 6 & 9 (my fav!!)

- date window @ 4

BUT the new model chrono SAGH001 is a little different, but more "Tag-heuer" look

the SAGH001 uses the new 6s28 movement, which does not have a true column wheel, but a pillar wheel.

the SAGH001 has subdials at 12, 9 & 6. date window @ 3 and a display back.

Can anyone explain to me the difference between a column wheel and a pillar wheel?

I always thought that the Tag Huerer caliber 1887 movement is actually a Seiko 6S26 movements...

So maybe Tag and Seiko have some agreement between themselves.

The Tag Heuer cal 1887 is based on a Seiko movement.

Tag Heuer (iirc) bought certain rights to use the Seiko movement. But Tag Heuer's marketing team was a little over excited and made a boo-boo. Which caused the Tag Heuer CEO to post on WUS to clear up the boo-boo.

Here is a little write up on it:
