Re: PARNIS watches

I have not much experience with Chinese movements.

But judging from the response of collector's in the WUS forum... mostly these PARNIS watches ended up as daily tickers. Once bashed up, straight it goes to the rubbish bins. Although there are frequent mentions of the use of SEAGULL movements in PARNIS products, I doubt it's the quality grades movement that you may find in the germasian brand like ELYSEE.

If it is priced below $150, it may draw a little attention to me. You saw these watches @ CENTRAL mall, Clarke quay right? Or the watch shop facing the HDB hub building @ Toa Payoh?

The response i get from SGROC

Re: PARNIS watches

Just to spread some poison here if you're interested with Chinese makes!

The next possibly best moonphase watch after the jacked up price of SEAGULL M199.

Re: PARNIS watches

Nice PerpetuaLs. I've had an eye on the C3 for a while, basically the same movement as the M199. Too bad the Seagull official position is not to allow US Seagull sell the M199 anymore....

If those are new... compare to TITAN watches using the same movements, is definitely VFM.

But if those are pre-owned... the judgement is up to you.

Re: PARNIS watches

@ least, comparing to other watches that you see in Bugis street... PARNIS is better built in quality.

The choice is up to you.

thanks for recommendations! 8-)

the M186 & M187 Roman w blue hands look good. might consider either one of this too.

only drawback compared to Parnis is they are smaller - 38mm diameter.
