Roomba (white) is for vaccum, Scooba (blue) is the wet / mop version ...

price on the high side..... worth this price??? how's the cleaning??

Yup, Roomba dust bag capacity isn't very large, gotta change after 2-3 clean cycles.
Scooba have to fill in water and clear dirty watch after each clean cycle.
There is still some maintenance since hair will be caught up in the rollers (typically I do it every 4-5 clean cycles).
Cleaning is ok, but not as good as a person ... I set them to work when I leave for office ...

I bought from amazon USA when I was there (amazon ships to hotel rooms and accept foreign credit cards !! ) , put them in check in baggage.
If I remember correctly I paid ~US$2xx each (scooba was refurb) .
Local agent price is crazy ...

The latest Roomba has a range of 1500sqft, and so far I have not been able to exceed the capacity of the dustbox. Maybe my house isn't dirty enough. I clear my scooba everyday, because need to top-up clean water and to pour away the dirty water. For the roomba I find that clearing every 2-3 days work for me. The cleaning is good, so long as the robots are properly and regularly maintained (i.e. clear the filter, the brushes, the wheels). Cleaning the robots themselves takes less than 5 mins, with practice.

So far mine are ok (Scooba 385 and Roomba 780). It's quite nice to hear the whirring sounds, it's the sound of productivity while I continue to surf my forums. :mrgreen:
