Does anyone know the best deal in town for the new Seiko Solar Diver chronograph ?



The model I am aiming for is the one in the below Pic (SSC015).



I saw it at Mustapha this morning and the price after discount was SGD $400.00. Any better deals in town ?

heard ah goh was ordering these 200m solar chrono divers from his supplier over the phone while i was there yesterday. he said quite expensive sar park kwee, dont know what particular color variants/strap options he is bringing in though, didnt ask :)

Last evening, Mr.GOH shown me and brudder phantom the 100m Solar Chrono model priced below 300... the subdials layout is at the 6.9.12 position. @ this price... i think should be able to sell much better than the 200m models ba...

Should be applies to all customers if i'm not wrong. Generally Mustafa price is about 2 or 3 red notes higher than Bencoolen for all SEIKO watches on most models.

So far, I really like the All Black version on Bracelet :D







But I really wish Seiko would come up with a nice White Dialed Diver Chronograph....Now if only this Solar Model came in White, like these PhotoChopped creations of mine :D

Previously... more than couple of months ago, we may notice such difference. But recently, i guess the price is tagged back at the warehouse, hence i don't really see much difference ba.

now the new watches that comes from thong sia are pretty much controlled(and in small quantity by salesman,batch by batch and only reorder when neccesary) ..max to 35% off thongsia retail price tag...so 380SGD is the cheapest u can find in most shops and yes its available to all customers.

save 10-20 bucks for me isnt pirority as long as you feel happy buying from the shop and service provided.

Very hard liaoz... this was further confirmed by the Bencoolen seller whom i frequent in the past. So now generally, the price you check at K2, Twinkle, or Bencoolen would be about the same with very little difference such as a green bill or 2.

Actually..if you are travelling so much specifically to get one of these Solar Diver chronographs, you might want to just get it from Mustafa, the SGD $20.00 price difference might be close to your travel costs :oops:



When I went to Mustafa this morning, the All Black model on Bracelet was selling for SGD $400 and the strap version was around SGD $357 (I think), both prices after discount. Interestingly, I think I saw an additional version that I have not seen any online photos of..it had a Pepzi Bezel, and I think the Dial was blue....

Actually I did see this model that is on the below photos (with just a small blue section on the otherwise black Bezel).



But I seem to recall seeing one more model at Mustafa with a Pepsi Bezel (Blue and Red) and the Dial was Blue, not Black.



Pretty sure it was also part of this Solar range, but i did not ask the Uncle to take it out from the show case to let me have a closer look.....



I could be mistaken....must re-check if I get the chance to go to Mustafa again soon :D

-black bezel with black dial and yellow chrono hands+crown strip(rubber strap)

-black bezel with black dial and red chrono hands+crown strip(bracelet)

-pepsi bezel with blue dial and red chrono hands+crown strip (bracelet)

-blueblack bezel with black dial and blue chrono hands+crown strip(bracelet)

I had been restricting myself to the Vintage Seiko Divers :D



But once the Bros here started posting pics of the new Seiko Solar Diver Chronograph...I weakened.... :oops:

I have always been wary of the Solar technology..Call me "Old fashioned", but I've preferred to trust proven technoloy rather than try cutting edge technoogy :oops:



But the whole design and presence of this watch made me decide to give the Seiko Solar technology a go :D

Guyz! ...i just discover how to release the diver's extension on the bracelet with those Solar Diver Chronos...(duh... i guess some brudders here might have known oredi...)



Once you opened the clasp, look at the side where the double secure clasp is, you see the extension, but cannot find a hook to capture and release right? All you ned to do... is just a light pull @ the extension "fold", and that's it! The extension released!

I bought the seiko solar SSC017bblck/blue dial @ $350 from ACube Timeless, Peninsular shopping ctr, 01-03. This shop is former King Wah Watches..think left SSC019pepsi bezel model..
