Opinions on Pilot Watches

Bros... What are your opinion on Pilot watches?

From brands like Laco, Stowa, Steinhart......... maybe something along the design of the attached, or simpler?

I prefer aviation watches that comes with slide-rule bezels, with busy looking dials.

Fliger watches from LACO, STOWA, ARCHIMEDE as well as TOURBY are much expensive than STEINAHRT, ARISTO to what i know... if your budget falls below 1k and want to get something from LACO, your only option will be those with MIYOTA movements.

not a big fan of fliegers... but if u were to buy flieger than buy from the big 5 brands...

i prefer other pilot watches compared to fliegers

all the crown seems wrong for a pilot watch

shouldn't they make it to a diamond/onion crown instead to match the whole theme? ;)

The Cathedral hands of the UHR-311 is also cheesy to be "flieger" theme. But when you look at the hour indicators on the dial, big enuff to meet the theme ba... However, when you look at the movement, you won't feel cheap liaoz...

daytona is small and slim, but rich in history with a time-tested design. The movement is in-house of course, and column wheel.

I almost forgotten that i had posted a reply back in september in WUS forum...

Whenever other comes to me asking about military theme brands... I always tells them LAST DASH are the words to remember, where:-

L=LACO, A=ARCHIMEDE, S=STOWA, T=TOURBY, D=DAMASKO, A=ARISTO, S=STEINHART, H=HAMILTON.

I cant say much about alot of the LAST DASH brands, but I do own a Sinn 856 and a Hamilton Khaki King and have been playing with a Damasko BC56. I really like the Sinn 856 and Damasko BC56 =D My next target is probably a Tourby..something wrong their big pilot range.
