Re: My First GS: Spring Drive GMT
Yo watchlooker,

I already own 7s36, 4r15, 6r15 automatic... To me, getting GS 9s64 is not as emotional as getting Spring drive.

Spring drive is something well... different. Hybrid. New innovation.

Bro in the forum knows I into high end Quartz, owned several 8F56 GMT.

But they not automatic. Feel dead and lifeless without that rotor feel when I swing my hand.

With current seiko automatic, power reserve indicator are a rare feature beside perhap the prospex flight master chronograph.

Spring drive solve the problem of knowing the charge left on the spring and yet provide accuracy of a quartz.

The hand of Spring drive is sweeping, smoother than Hi beat. The rotor basically share DNA with 9S64.

Also as advise by Bro BnL, is to hoot the highest I can afford, thus I aim the GS Spring drive GMT flag ship movement.

But most impt of all I was offer a price that I couldnt say no to, by Shaggy. He make it all possible for me~ Thanks a million!

Re: My First GS: Spring Drive GMT
The 12 step process that it takes to make the special sun-ray dial "Code F17" for SBGE005. The "Champagne" dial.

Re: My First GS: Spring Drive GMT
The 5 process used to achieve the "Zaratsu" polishing you'll find on Grand Seiko

Re: My First GS: Spring Drive GMT

The "hidden lion" of in my Grand Seiko SD GMT.

Etched on the clear case back ?
Re: My First GS: Spring Drive GMT
Yes, on the display caseback but most of the time invisible.

Only under extreme strong light then the lion emblem will appear. Nice touch to a GS. I didnt notice it too when I got my GS.
