Guys,

I decided after consideration, that I'll relume my vintage 6309 that I just got a couple of months back.. At first I was against the idea of taking a risk the guy doing the work might ruin the pristine condition of the dial (check out osc13's collection for reference).. Since im wearing my 6309 to sleep at night, I can't stand not being able to read the time due to the faint lume (only about 10% left right now). While at it, I'd like the water resist restored back to it's prime orange colour too..



Bros here restored vintage pieces before ? Advices are much appreciated

i dont reccomend relume vintages, takes away the character of the watch and further devalues your piece

, get a led alarm clock would be better :)

Lol, will keep the LED watch in my shortlist of options :D



I don't know, there's just something with patina that says untidy and not presentable..

original font colour iirc, is red :)



it'd only aft fading then it looked like orange

Another option is to get one 6309 w restored parts to your specs n keep this unrestored 6309 in your stable. Phillipines has a lot of restored 6309s on EvilBay.

Actually the 6309 is perfect except for the lume.. It's the 6105 I'm stressing about.. Almost all lume on the minute hand is gone and the seiko logo on the dial is gone too :( might resort to aftermarket dial and hands
