Lazy sellers nowadays?
Always irks me when a seller post a watch FS on a forum but DOESN'T bother to post pics...instead, wrote 'whatsapp me for pics/information'



wth...



i admit technology is fugging advance now, 95% of sillyporeans have whatsapp but at least be good to post actual pics of the watch mah.



pics taken frm cellphone, doesn't works for me as well.



not pointing at any bros here, i was browsing at other forums & just happen to seethis FS post.

Eh my photos mostly iphone pics leh.



I don't own any cameras, and even the iphone I have to borrow from my wife, take photos liao whatsapp to myself, then from my own handphone I email to photobucket, then from photobucket link to the forum leh....



Not everyone own camera, some people like me don't even own camera phone... So putting iphone pictures for me already takes significant time and effort, and have to wait to borrow my wife's phone...

Most phone cam are quite advance now. Even the iPhone one quite ok if got decent lighting.



But I think CEO means the effort put in - good lighting, clear pics.



I see some pics posted are super blurry and the seller say watch is mint.

How to tell from blurry pic if watch is mint??!



And if u ask for clearer pic seller sometime not happy and give attitude :evil:

i dun doubt the quality of cellphone's camera



but the issue lies with the user



how can a pic be blurry if the cellphone camera is at 8megapixel or more unless the seller takes no effort in trying to have a pic nicely taken.



even big-e-bro, roo di di, astro bro can take nice sharp pics of his watches with their iphone



anyway, i'm just ranting nia ;)

as an active seller (at times), i feel that pics are important:



1. the post gathers interest faster

2. buyers ask more questions (which i like) as this shows interest.

3. if possible, flaws can be shown clearly avoiding future disputes.

4. what u see is what u get, so see "chun-chun then buy hor"



part of the hobby is to sharpen photography skills. i see my pics last time and now, wow, so much difference.



i feel no point "email/whatsapp me for pics". if your pics are bad, they are bad.

you post on the ad, they will still be bad; you email to buyer, still the same bad pics, so what for?



i only email buyers any additional pics taken at different angle, different straps etc.

the FS post will show the main pics: front, caseback, entire package and flaws (if can get decent macro shots)



no pic is only acceptable (imo) if it is a brand new watch.



so my philosophy: one shot one kill.



Take nice pics, get the watch sold fast, it is time and effort worth the while imo.



everyday i am still learning how to take nice pics though. always admire those beautiful shots on the forums.

the worst is to use someone else's pics without acknowledgement (happen to me b4) and worst still use it to make a comparison.



this kind of posts go out the window for me.



international forums make it mandatory to post at least one pic i think which is fair and makes sense.

Sometimes watch is at another location and u know you wun get to it within the next few days... In that case die die also cannot squeeze the fotos out one...

it is an just an overall observation. you can find a lot such posts in SWx :)



a lot of forums are facing this issue. in the international forum, the biggest issue is "CONUS only" kind of FS posts :lol: :lol:
