My 1st SIC in SC-SG, mods please comment if the thread is not at the right place, here goes..



Seiko 6309-7049, Le Cushion Diver (Production 1987, my birth year). This is probably the most comfortable watch to ever graced my wrist, further supported by the comftyness (if there's such a word :D ) of a NATO strap..

@ bro Devil: the slim case 6309 slim case is my next target because it gets you the 7002 dial without the inferior cal. 7002 (compared to cal. 6309) IMHO..

Bro, yours is pristine as well, personal collection ? Furthermore, without the long lines 'Japan movt and dial hong kong cased' looks so clean.. Are these dials the earlier model dials ?

Thanks...ya.. my personal collection. Not really the earlier model, both dial overlap and concurrent production back then afaik. Fact is, there are 4 dial variants that I had came across physically.

I'm guessing you bought this piece in sg ? I believe mine is bought in Indonesia.. I'm the 2nd hand owner, previous owner was reluctant to let this go for reason to be revealed in later on pics I'm posting here..



I wonder if the dial is specific for a certain market nation wise..

Oops :shock: .. Anyway, its just my IMHO.. You should take comfort that at least its compared to a 6309.. Lets be honest, its a pretty hard workhorse to beat there (again, just my, nobody's, opinion).. Thanks for droppin by :)

You didn't get to be the mod / founder position handed right to you did you :D ? Nice catch bro roo..



Previous owner got me into collecting seiko, he's a hardcore seiko fan, all of his seikos are original, down to the strap (except this one obviously, because its not fit to be use anymore).. He swore its original and all, but the strangest thing: no bevel on the day-date window ;)

Just had a quick discussion with previous owner about this discrepancy.. He had an interesting theory: there's no bevel on this dial because: this dial is produced at the dusk of 6309-704x production line..



At that time, seiko could've run out of 6309-704x dial plate, so they have to use 6309-729x dial plate (with no date window bevel) and stamp 704x dials on them.. Just a theory though, whatever it is, I'm a happy and proud owner of the 6309 cushion case :D
