Hmm... what was your first STEINHART huh? I wonder did you made it to place the order for the AZZARO that was released few days ago?

My first steiny was an Ocean One , followed by the 42mm Nav-B and the Aviation

Ended the Steiny affair abt a year back with this when I decide to go after more mainstream swiss watches

Now I think Im done with most mainstream swiss watches, back to the boutiques but this time only pieces that are unique and not homages.

Didnt order the Azzaro although it was available when I saw it as its a homage to a rather obscure Panerai model

We have no idea whether do you own any STEINHART or not, hence couldn't determine what's your view on STEINHART produce. However, if you had read the threads in the WUS forum, you would see that numbers of folks will not stop @ just a piece...

I myself oredi had my 3rd piece, and now waiting for my bonus to build my 4th one... now still deciding whether to wait for OVR or O2.

Btw... isn't there's a Ocean Vintage Military that some collectors claims to be almost the same as Debaufre Ocean-1 classic?

I agree with that very much. The primary reason I give most boutique brands a wide berth is the fact that they produce homages, or simply recycle designs. For steinhart at least, I had a flieger once... iirc it came from a swap with Lunarin some years back. The endless fliegers, "submariners", "pams", and even "bell and ross", have become quite unattractive to me.

This steinhart of your wrist is very nice, and at first look it looks like their own design, swee.
Re: 2nd Last Toy of 2011
ya agree steinhart is vfm swiss made watch. I believe Triton is their own design diver watch.

I wish that they will come out with more of their own design........ a bit disappointed when they keep on coming out with all the hommages.... but well like some of the folks mention in WUS, steinhart gotta produce some hot hommage model to keep their business going.

I am a proud owner of an ocean-1 GMT pepsi, you could read my review over at WUS (I believe it's the first thing that pops out if you google: steinhart ocean-1 GMT pepsi). Sorry if my post mislead you to somehow thought that I'm mocking, but I'm just trying to sound neutral, given the fact that I own one :D

Ocean vintage mil from steiny comes with no date, sword hand, and IMHO: overdone patina effect.. That's why I dig the Debaufre ocean-1 classic more.. It let me do the patina myself :D

Cheers
