resin rot, you have such problems?
just wondering whether any of your rubber straps rot/cracked before... two of my Gshocks cracked... and one turned slimy... and also few of my watch boxes peeled..



but seldom hear of seiko straps kenna leh...

yes, it does happen to seiko rubber, esp if you kept it away for a long time

I don't think there's any reinforced rubber straps in the market. Most of those rubber straps, or stuffs will corrode over some time, even if we keep them safe in watch boxes. I suspect that this could be due to the humid condition that we're living in.

5 of my Swatches with rubber links in the bracelets, all chui and up lorry liaoz.

happened to my older g-shocks also. I think the current resin casio uses for their g-shocks is of a better quality - less tendency to turn slimy and rot.

We're in the humid region of the world all year long, I heard more cases of rubber straps turn slimy instead of crack because I thought cracks are mostly due to lack of humidity in the air (Europe, Australia, etc)..



Discussed about this matter with a fellow WIS before, he said the best way to store your watches, that is if you want all of them to be in NOS condition in 20 or 30years time, is to keep it in a dry box.. Yes, those dry boxes where you keep your camera lenses, crank it to 50% humidity no more no less. Cant say I'm not enticed by that idea :)

Definitely. Have you seen wine coolers ? They work the same way as a dry cabinet too. lol

got a set of seiko z20 drawer queen broke into 2 after putting them on... felt sticky



g-5600's strap also turning shiny but dont think gonna uplorry so soon as its very flexible

The ones for sale are the Pogue (I've posted the pics you requested), and the NOS Helmet. The Bullhead is sold.



Just curious, you will need to have your watches posted to indonesia? Or do you fly here to collect?
