How do you take lume shots ah?

I read somewhere that i need to charge the lume, focus, kill the light source and snap..

I managed to get this.

and another one too late.

Re: Sinner, Roo and watch photographers lip lai
i dunno how to take pictures well.

but to charge up the lume fastest and brightest, use a UV light (those pruple for currency notes checking, now in battery operated type)

just 5-10s, very brightzzz!

yeap i got one of those.. shines like a torch when the lume is charged up..

More important is to play around with aperture, shutter speed, gain settings. If you're not a photography nut, just have to take pictures and do it trial-and-error.
Re: Sinner, Roo and watch photographers lip lai
What are you using to take ?

The easiest way for me was just with an iPhone, charge lume under the sun, then cover the watch with half clenched fist, put the phone on my fist and take the shot.

If you set the camera up, position everything properly, cover up the watch and let your camera focus.

Viola....

Im using a pns camera for the shots i took abv. Might not be good enough becoz i cant tweak the settings. I hv another manual camera that can play with shuter speed.

Ive seen those shots with 10 sec shutter. Sibeh chio. Can see details of the dial like a day shot but yet i can see the lume glowing as well.

You definitely need a tripod for such exposures.

remote is not a must.... but good to have... if bo then use timer loh

not bad mah i find your lume shot
Re: Sinner, Roo and watch photographers lip lai
Placed my cam on a tripod and adjust the focus, charged the lume up with a study table lamp and placed the camea back on the same spot, released shutter on a 10s delay timer mode.

Cant remember how long was my exposure though.
