I molested this one at Kwang Guan/Prestige watch but felt its too big(lug to lug) for me.. they had full set like what yeoman showed(nicely done inner box)..but knowing the price differences....I would go for the online deal.. probably best deal anywhere riao..

My son collected his PSLE results and I also celebrated by hooting the same watch from Big Time today. What a coincidence!

By the way, the boxes look like generic ones. This watch has its own inner and outer boxes with "Cal 469 40th Anniversary" printed on them.

Congrats to all the PSLE parents :)



I got a set of Transformers Micromaster Airstrike Patrol as a reward for good PSLE results. Still remember early morning taking the then just-launched MRT to Bishan station, walking thru the then-being-constructed Bishan, to St 13 (iirc).

OrientUSA claimed that the LE box was "late" so they sent me the watch w the generic box first. :roll:

they said that they will send the LE box to me when it's available. however I hv to foot the shipping as they claimed that they do not (will not?) ship internationally. :( :x

also noticed that my day wheel is "Eng/Spa" which is contrary to what was stated in your review.

byt then I also saw this in one of the comments to your review.



Japan: Eng/Kanji

Singapore: Eng/Eng + Arabic numeral

USA: Eng/Spanish



hmm.... so the LE of 2000 (SST) & 1000 (PVD) are all w "rojak" day wheels depending on the region they are sold in? :?

Yah, the day wheels are different for different regions. This is call customization. Not rojak. :lol: :lol:

If not mistaken, top button for day adjust and bottom button for inner Bezel adjust

I see. Thanks for the info. But why would anyone need to rotate the inner bezel ring? Is it just for design purpose? Just curious.

my guess is, most normal diver watches has a bezel on the exterior case.



for orient, this is so call the 'Diver' line so in a way, the rotating inner bezel acts like a normal diver bezel's function for countdown purposes



but since these are non screwdown crowns + the pusher, it's not really a true diver watch ;)

Unlike the vintage models. The Cal 469 40th anni model has screwdown crowns. Pusher got screw lock as well.
