yup,as have mentioned in your SIC its not a good buy and not worth to bid for it especially if you looking for a good original piece.There are many big time ebayers with few separate accounts,selling same vintage watches that are mostly franken to be like original/modded or worse some are fakes.
However,my opnion is not only have the 'good bad seller awareness' in yourself but also progressively learn how to authenciate an original Seiko watch just by itself.(without having to depend on reputation feedbacks),you will be more steady next time. I am also learning from many bros here who are much more knowledgable in Seiko vintages. ;)
But to be fair(although I didnt go thru all of this particular sellers item description) he did mentioned things like;
As with many old watches some of them have had external worn/faded/corroded parts replaced over the years like bezel inserts, dials and hands this is normal and they have been replaced with the highest quality products available to us. Please contact us for any information about what has been done if this is important to you.

so this would kinda ring a bell or would make a collector think thrice before bidding. Unless some seller outright mentions;
100% authentic seiko ,untouched but delivers a third world feiko,then its a straight scam.
and we as interested parties can always ask questions before we ever place a bid. And we buyers got to learn how to study evasive description that usually is to sellers' benefit. But good thing that you started this thread for more awareness.
