Anyone knows how to resize a Seiko bracelet?



If those neighborhood watch shop provide such service especially TPY area? And the cost?

What bracelet is it? For which Seiko watch?

normally they will charge around $3 I think?

resizing is easy, but you must first identify what type of bracelet it is.

But shops in tpy veri hang up n sell 1 leh...:(a watch chain shop told me must buy frm them than they resize 4 u...another shop selling abit 'higher end' watches in tpy lagi power...told me they dun do resize 4 'THIS MODEL' when dat person din even look at my 'SUMO' a SEIKO n not a LANGE!!!:(out of anger me try myslf thinkin most 2 most damage a bracelet nia n alamak using a thicker needle as a punch n a plier as a hammer me do the resize myslf...feel lik going 2 shop dat person n show how i do it myslf n ask whether they 1 2 change job more suitable 4 them...

Anyway to do it without the tool set?

If i bring the bracelet out for sizing most likely i will kena gan for bring so fickle minded. Rather size it myself for fun :lol:

Can try my peasant way if u got balls 8-) :lol:

toothpick

stiff sewing needle/any thin stiff rod/ultra thin screwdriver

ball point pen

anything that can act as mallet (eg stapler)

clear tape

spectacle cloth to work the bracelet on





To take apart u just need a thin solid pin (maybe those for sewing ones) to push it out of the collar.



1. To fix back, put collar in, then hold bracelet vertical with collar cupped in at the bottom.



2. Drop in the split pin, use toothpick to push it in and then use something else to mallet the toothpick abit.



3. Flip over see if split pin is slightly engaged into the collar, if not try again.



4. If sightly engaged, push from the pin entry side you can see the collar rise. Maintain pressure from opposite end, use a flathead screw driver to push the collar down till it sits flush with the pin. Jab the pin side again to check, collar shouldn't rise anymore then you're done.



clear tape the edges of the bracelet before u start, beginner sure pew chiu.



how much link to remove depends on your clasp type, most recommend remove the links from the watch's 6 o'clock first



do understand the split pin and collar article before u begin.

Bro, best is to learn how to size the different kind of bracelets on your own, u will find it very useful.. esp. if u tends to buy online.

Anyone know of anyone watch shop near Sengkang / Hougang which is able to do a proper service of resizing the sumo bracelet? (Pin & collar)

Thought of dropping by K2 today and also resize at the same time but K2 not open today.
