lume question
any bros know how long is the lifespan of a watch's lume usually? e.g. the BM... how many yrs b4 it doesnt glow anymore after charging it with light? :?:

depends on the type of lume , tritium gas tubes about 25 years ( but after 15 years already quite dim)

really?? coz i was wondering if i went and got a watch produced many yrs ago, but the lume isnt wat it used to be, then i will be damn sian... :lol:

bro ... u cant buy a vintage watch and expect it to function like a modern piece :(
please lower your expectations :
--> not water proof
--> 5-10mins accuracy off
--> faded lume
--> scratches
--> patina
--> no warranty

bro even if you get a newly produced good watch,10-20 yrs later ,the lume effectiveness will sure be reduced,some watches lume dont even last that long.... similar for all watches one unless you want to relume at later point of time... hence to say long discontinued or vintage watches' lumes confirm guarantee wouldnt be what it used to be....
*of course it varies for lume material used
