3rd Gold Tuna 1000 m




This is my 3rd Gold Tuna 1000 m.



The first is a BNIB 1000 m Gold Tuna bought in Singapore at Queensway shopping center now mod to a yellow/blue WRX Tuna.



The second is a 600 m NOS Gold Tuna bought off from Badern.



This is my 3rd.



4th will be coming soon next year Feb 2012.



I am totally thrilled!

Actually no, the amount i paid was ok. I bought the Gold Tuna last year Dec 2010.



I managed to pay for it at the same price as shaggyangel current selling price.



List was i think about $2.1k. I managed to get about 10-15% discount when i said i am paying full cash and the lady thought for a while and then she said deal on.



So my quest for more gold tunas continues.



Looks like the gold tuna will be replace by the equivalent of the SBBN 011 as the default export model of the 1000 m tuna quartz series in 2012.





Better get your gold tuna soon!

No. The gold tuna will be discontinued in 2012.



The follow up model is the all black titanium nitride TUNA 1000 m export version.



The 1000 m export model is exactly the same as the sbbn 011 which is discontinued in the japan market. The japan domestic market replacement is the SBBN 013.

Agree...i kinda prefer golden tunas as well.



btw, can you confirm if the bezel insert on this tuna is matte? The 7c46-7008 i had is with glossy bezel insert.

the 7c46-7008 and 7c46-7009 have the old bezel insert style



the 7c46-0AB0 bezel insert is exactly the same as the SBBN 011 or SBBN 013 models. It is matte like.



I tried to buy individual inserts for the 1000 m for my gold tunas. they do not sell them separately. you must buy the bezel together with the insert!



So to stock spare parts, might as well buy the whole tuna and keep as spares. ;)

Yo Bro. Production is last quarter of 2011. This piece is fresh from the oven.



I have yet to check the date disc. I have not operated it since buying it. Is kept as a spare donor for my TUNAs. Probably thr 4th piece from shaggyangel in feb 2012 will be worn.

Yup. Quartz Only.



No more autos/manual for me anymore. Servicing 3-4 pieces of Rolex Sports model at Thong Sia Rolex is enough to 'pop' your eyeballs. :o :o :o
