Watch To Recommend!

Watch To Recommend!
Hi guys,

I would very much like to get a Seiko watch for daily use. But the thing is I can't seem to decide on which one to get....

I would need the watch to be able to tell the date and day. Able to be water resistant up to at least 100m. Definitely be able to view in the dark.

Must be Mechanical, means no battery!

Formal or informal events.

So any idea which model in mind? Perhaps you people here can give me good suggestions! Thankzz!
Re: Watch To Recommend!
This pc is nice. SNZH59J1. Made in Japan model.

in my last trip overseas, i wore my seiko sinn and i placed it on bedside when i went to sleep. the lume was still very bright at 4.30am (curtains closed and all lights off).. it was very visible even when i was half asleep i could tell the time.

Re: Watch To Recommend!
If u can still find it: skx031

A classic submariner styling, lower profile than skx007, so it is a little 'dressier', 100m rating WITH screwdown crown. Uses the ever-reliable 7s26, which has Day & Date!

why settle for a seiko that only tells time/day/date when you can have this, which calculates as well ?!!

battery lasts 5 years, by when you would have accumulated too many seikos anyway. Not 100m WR, but I think steady enough for heavy rain...

Re: Watch To Recommend!
How about Seiko Stargate?

Re: Watch To Recommend!
Woah, the response here is just overwhelming!

Thanks Guys!

Was looking through and the skx031, SKX700 and Seiko Sinn caught my eyes.

Any idea where to have a physical look at them? Even better if there are any owners here which can tell me of their experience wearing these watches! Perhaps the bezel size or movement of the watch etc?

PS, I've already got a Casio Gulfman that I'm using and an Old Seiko watch which I can't identify. (Winding got some problem, don't know where to find good reliable people to repair.)
Re: Watch To Recommend!
For the common models except Seiko Sinn, you can try your luck @ the shops listed here: http://forums.seikoclubsg.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=161" false;

If you want to fix your old Seiko, you can try visiting K2, address in the above thread too. Mr Goh is the go-to person for Seiko fix/servicing/modding and he also have used and new watches for sale.
Re: Watch To Recommend!
For K2, Do they have those watch that I have mentioned? Would like to go down to take a look.

go for Seiko Sinn (aka Spork) then. it also has one of the longest power reserve - 50hrs! :o
Re: Watch To Recommend!
I would recommend Seiko Sinn also.

But u may want to look at the seiko spirit and orient star classic series. Both are good dress watches, Made in japan quality stuff. But more ex lah.
