I will b heading to Taipei next mth for a short holiday with my family.



Any advice fr SC bros who have been to Taipei recently?



Appreciate if u have lobang or travel tips to share wif me. (Not necessary to be watches, can be places of interest, good food, nice clothings, children or big man toys etc)

I don't know about this golden tuna but I know there is another model that looks like the SBBN011. This is on the 2011 catalog for international market.

Enjoy yourself. The picture you posted, I was there 2 years ago, Army R&R. Lol. I hooted my Solar Atomic Multi Band 5 Gulfman there. Sold away already to fund my Atomic Frogman.



Very nice place, the watch shop, must go to streets shop and get, can bargain down the price. If you go to departmental store of course cannot lol. Most of the watch are actually same price as local shops in Singapore, so buy watches than Singapore cannot find de.

is only a free and easy 6 days 5 nite tour. we might give a miss for the FOC 1 day city tour. my wife and me not so keen on the standard destination like Presidential Building , Memorial Hall , National Palace Museum , Handicraft Centre etc. (maybe go for 1/2 day can liao)



would like to visit a these places like Xiao Ren Guo(for kids), jiu fen, danshui, still researching for other places which i am not familiar with the city.

Depends. My R&R only 1.5 days at Taipei so not much time to look around. Most of the G-Shocks there are more expensive than Bencoolen, but cheaper than G-Shock boutiques Singapore, price wise nothing worthy to hoot and have savings.



Limited edition models are hard to find as well, only thing in my opinion that is worthy to hoot is Multi Band Atomic G-Shocks lor.

got this pic from a taiwan website. i think is a place called 十分老街@平溪區. the shop house with the old movie posters, confirm make me think of my first love. :lol:

meepok kor kor, u can go liu foo village.... it is a theme park wif rides.... travel by bus shld be ard 1-2 hrs lah.... quite fun for kids....



another advise for u is to go the taiwan tourism board in spore.... they hav free gifts like tickets to liu foo village or other tourist attractions or sumtimes they give ez link card for taiwan use wif value inside....

me jus went taiwan ard may.... when u going??? if u going ard late october, i can pass u a taiwan sim card.... u can go there buy data plan which include calling and sms-ing.... u jus tell the person how long u will be staying in taiwan den pay the money can liao.... data plan is unlimited but call and sms i not sure cos never use....

that time i went there, i booked a taxi as a tour guide. Then he drive us around in his toyota wish, drop us at the spot and drive off. When we are done, drop him a miss call and he will be back again.

I just got back from Taipei last night .



Some of my observations ...

1. taipei airport (duty free) has omega, chopard, iwc, zenith .. u might want to check out the prices when u arrive

2. taipei 101 has all the major brands (jlc, patek, panerai , ap etc ... )

3. tissot/hamilton/mido are commonly seen amongst the smaller shops ....

if u tour taipei area like those tourist attraction places no need to book cab de.... got mrt very convenient liao.... but, if u worry for ur kids all these, taking taxi maybe a better option....

u will be surprised at the commuters behaviour, all line up properly when the train approaches, unlike here in sillypore, all fugging stand & clusterfug at the door when the train approaces..

Our station is so over crowded, if we really form 2 lines before the train door, it will lead all the way to the entry gates :lol: :lol:
