Where to buy... Pens.

Where to buy... Pens.
You all got lobang for stationery shops that sells hard to find Japanese pens?

If you all visit Pilot, Uniball or Zebra japan website hor, those nice nice "premium" models those kind. Any shops in Singapore got import and sell those? And refills also.

See their Japanese website got so much product line up, Popular book shop sells only around 30% of it. -_-"

Tried Kinokuniya, no luck either. Not gonna buy online, pay crazy shipping fees for a couple of pens.
Re: Where to buy... Pens.

Re: Where to buy... Pens.
Just Curious, what do you use the pens on???

I am a noob to pens, the last time i used a pen extensively was to fill up 100 lucky draw coupons

My hand writing is fugly, thus i think to type and print from the PC is a good thing for me.

To be frank, its a supply and demand thing, it works everywhere in the world..... not just sg...

Nobody will sell something that caters to a small crowd and most important don't "make reasonable profit" as quoted by PM lee.....

Everything that can sell and make profit will have, everything else that don't , will not be sold commonly.

My relative who works in sheaffer, says they have pen that cost thousands, but will anyone wanna buy them over MONTBLANC???

Same applies to what ya looking for.... is there a good demand for such pens in sg??/

nothing wrong with ur consumer mentality , but nothing wrong with the seller's pt of view.....

ur sales (if you do buy in the end) cant satisfy their profit margin.much less to talk abt product support like refills.

So you wanan buy the pens like buying watches for a passion for writing instruments??

or you need them for professional use???

I'm a student, so naturally I write a lot. I just want to have a greater choice of writing instruments nia. Nothing professional.

Everytime I go Popular and other stationary shops and see pens, my face always got the sian look. Always the same thing.

Pilot high end one? try http://www.aestheticbay.com/"http://www.fookhingtrading.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer">http://www.fookhingtrading.com/"http://www.mpuni.co.jp/product/category/sharp_pen/pure_malt/index.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">http://www.mpuni.co.jp/product/category/sharp_pen/pure_malt/index.html" false;

Zebra I am gonna guess u are referring to the Sharbo X? Sharbo X selling point is that it is a type of customizable multi pen. So u buy the body and then choose whatever colour refill u want as a combination. Also has mechanical pencil module and has different lead sizes for it. You should be able to find it at stationary superstore in funan.

before u really go spend time finding do take note...

-the pens i mentioned are very expensive for normal use, its non disposable and built for usage for years to come

-so if u sian of pens easily maybe not good to buy so expensive....

-the refills are expensive (likely beyond 3 bucks each) and also hard to find (probably only can find at the shop that sells it)

In my opinion, unless u need them for image, like u are working, no point getting high end ballpoint/gel/rollerball. Not worth it imo (I am a fountain pen user myself)

If you really want just skip the pilot and go check out the Sharbo X at funan. Think it will be more suitable for students since its a multi pen.

yeah Triodeman or tt32003! they more expert when it comes to buying locally. lol

BTW like what lunarin says TS should consider Lamy as well....the ballpoint is quite good....can last quite long and never dry up (used it during my NSF days). Its relatively cheaper around 20plus for a ABS plastic variant depending on which model or more expensive for the aluminum variant

jetpens is reliable but they dont ship only US/canada so u need forwarder service.

If you don't use and keep no point...but really lah ballpoint no point buy so expensive.
Re: Where to buy... Pens.

I know it's expensive, but can keep mah. I'm more of a Uniball brand fan myself, and the malt series is one of the pens I'm looking for. Looks like I don't have much choice in Singapore, have to suck it up and wait for people to go Japan and get it for me.

Another model I'm looking for is the Power Tank, Smart Series and Smart Series High Grade pens. Currently using Power Tank normal de.

Maybe if no choice I have to buy online lor. So far this is the best web page I found that sells lots of JDM pens.

Never ask them. Their range so little. And besides anything that reach Singapore shops mostly the price is rip off de.

Went to this Stationery shop in Bugis Junction, their range got slightly more. Got some special JDM Unibal pens that Popular / Kino don't have de. Forget the name le but I think its at level 2 or 3. But don't have the ones I want.

But the Bugis shop got one zeh zeh work in the counter jin cute. Was there for quite some time noticing her (as well as looking for my pens).

HOOT LAI LIAO! So happy to see a store in Singapore selling these. Total damage = $24.

Price is good. Checked out the uniball webpage with the RRP, about the same price if you convert $1 - 60 JPY. So I would say you're paying exactly the same price if you shop in Japan. Store sells their refills too!

Tried the Power Tank Smart Series. The $18 dollar pen FEELS SO GOOD!

The Power Tank Smart Series High Grade ($18) uses a different ink refill. The refill costs $5. :(

The other 2 regular and Smart Series uses the same type of ink refill. Each around $1.80.. Can be found in most (not all) stores in Singapore. Maybe because the Power Tank series is not widely used in Singapore as compared to JetStream pens. Even at Popular bookstores, the PowerTank pens quantity is always low de, but JetStream and Pilot G2 always a lot.

It uses a kind of thixotropic ink (solid ink until shear force turns it to liquid) flowing at a constant rate.
