What to look out for in vintage watch?
Hi all~

been wanting to get a vintage watch (was thinking a 6139 or 6138)



saw quite a few up on ebay and mostly are from Philippine or Thailand.

i've seen ppl selling watches specially mention that theirs are not refinished philip watches... anything wrong with those from there :?:

a lot of pinoy / thai sellers peddle franken watches

not as bad as ukraine/ india though :lol: :lol:

Those watches i see in ebay looks pretty "normal" just tat im not sure are there hidden landmines in the actual thing anot~

but since u mentioned is from pinoy, probably dial,hands are all aftermarket parts, overpolished case etc



wat u pay is wat u get, lol



the chronos might hv issues when resetting, this is common ;)



best is, get an all original 6139/6138 if you are planning to get an auto chrono as ur 1st piece :)

hi all, i have started to look at vintage seikos online recently. found out from the WUS forum that loyswatch does a fairly good job of restoration of old seikos. wondering if its worth it to get a similarly priced bullhead

why not buy one locally, from K2 or one of the bros here in a face-to-face deal?

Chiu may oso find lot of bullhead, calculator, panda & etc at csc stall bt moi advise ish better dun hoot bt ssrr ok lah... ;)

6309 does not comes in kanji wheel, only 6306 has Kanji Day wheel
